Kade Dishmon

Nice to meet you! I'm Kade, a writer, publishing professional, and proud father of two cats (who are more beautiful than any other cats, except, of course, yours).

I'm currently an assistant editor at Peachtree / Peachtree Teen, a division of the Walker Books Group. Within WBG, I have also acquired acclaimed fiction for the Holiday House list. Among my two most recently published acquisitions for the group are This Raging Sea, which sold in the UK, France, Poland, and Germany, making it the top 2025 YA title for translation across WBG. And the Trees Stare Back was a JLG selection, received a Kirkus starred review, and was named to the YALSA Best Young Adult Fiction and Kirkus Best Young Adult Books end-of-year lists.

Before that, I interned, assisted, and provided freelance editorial support for various literary agencies including McIntosh & Otis, Inc., TriadaUS, and P.S. Literary, among others. I hold an MFA in Writing for Children & Young Adults from The New School where I was a President's Scholar.
